御老中若年寄中へ御廻勤した。
同日、右同じ件につき、京都所司代松平伊賀守殿へ御書状を遣わされた。
ただし、御老中へ御礼勤めがある際は、その都度御書状を差し出される
儀は以後定例であるため記載しない。
同日、右同じ件につき、御国許（領国）へ御書院番頭本多主殿を遣わされた。
同日、右同じ件につき、御家老より御使番中村八太夫を道中七日振りで
御国許へ出立させた。
五月十三日、御用番安藤対馬守殿より呼び出しがあり、御留守居大関
新五左衛門（直看）が出向いたところ、先達って伺いを立てられた御家督御礼の節の
御献上物の御伺書に御付札をもって御指図があった。
ただし、御名代にて御礼を申し上げられる場合は御家来の御指出には及ばない
旨、また御馬については御国立ての御馬があればこれを差し上げるべきであるが、
ない場合は御持合いの御馬でよろしいので御買上げには及ばない旨の御指
図があった。
同月十八日、御忌明けにつき、御用番水野和泉守殿へ御留守居宮北
十郎左衛門（定由）が出向き、端午御祝儀御献上の儀を伺ったところ、追って御指図
があるべき旨を申し聞かされた。
同月十九日、御用番水野和泉守殿より呼び出しがあり、御留守居宮北

[They] made courtesy rounds to the senior councilors (rōjū) and junior councilors (wakadoshiyori).
On the same day, regarding the same matter, a letter was sent to Lord Matsudaira Iga-no-kami, the Kyoto deputy (shoshidai).
However, when there are occasions of courtesy visits to the senior councilors, the custom of presenting letters each time
will not be recorded hereafter as it has become established practice.
On the same day, regarding the same matter, Hon'da Tonomo, head of the pages (shoinban-gashira), was dispatched to the domain.
On the same day, regarding the same matter, by order of the chief retainer, Nakamura Hachidayū of the messenger corps was sent to the domain, a seven-day journey.
On the 13th day of the 5th month, there was a summons from Lord Andō Tsushima-no-kami, who was on duty, and when the Edo representative Ōzeki Shingozaemon (Naomi) appeared, regarding the succession celebration inquiry that had been previously submitted, instructions were given via attached notes on the inquiry document about presentation gifts.
However, when gratitude is expressed through a representative, retainers need not be presented,
and regarding horses, if there are domain-bred horses they should be presented, but if not available,
horses on hand would be acceptable, so there is no need to purchase new ones, such were the instructions given.
On the 18th day of the same month, due to the end of the mourning period, Edo representative Miyakita Jūrozaemon (Sadayoshi) appeared before Lord Mizuno Izumi-no-kami, who was on duty, to inquire about presenting celebratory gifts for the Boys' Festival, and was told that instructions would be given later.
