具の件であるので、御持ちにならないのはいかがなものかということで、新しい刃を御打ちになることになり、鞘の形も少々御替えになり、羅紗も青色で御家督以後に御持ちになる旨が仰せ出された
一、五月二十七日、御用番水野和泉守殿へ左の通り御老中連名の御切紙が来た
明二十八日家督の御礼が仰せ付けられるので
そちらの名代として同姓志摩守が五時に登
城するよう致すべきである。以上

一、同月二十八日（五時）、御名代として志摩守様が御登城になり御家督の御礼を仰せ上げ、それからこの御屋形へお越しになり小書院にて御対顔御礼が済んだ趣旨を仰せ達され、御料理が出て御盃事があり、それから御礼のため志摩守様が御老中・若年寄中を御廻勤された

Tomorrow the twenty-eighth day, the succession ceremony has been ordered,
so your proxy, Shima-no-kami of the same family name, should
ascend to the castle at five o'clock. The above.

The written response to the above was submitted through a messenger from the messenger corps.
One: On the twenty-eighth of the same month (at five o'clock), Lord Shima-no-kami ascended to the castle as proxy and performed the succession ceremony. Thereafter he came to this residence, and in the small study hall the formal meeting and ceremony of thanks were completed. This was reported, a meal was served, and there was a sake ceremony. After that, Lord Shima-no-kami made courtesy visits to the senior councilors and junior councilors as part of the thanksgiving.
