のいふくは別（べつ）にいかうに
かけてかざるべし上 輩（はい）
はその夜七ツかけ三ツめに

三ツかけべし衣桁（いこう）は二ツ

【右丁 上段】
の衣服は別に衣桁に
掛けて飾るべきである。上流の
人はその夜七つ掛け、三つ目に
取り替えて五つ掛け、五つ目に
三つ掛けるべきである。衣桁は二つ
も三つもあるべきである。手ぬ
ぐい掛けは衣桁より上座に
あるべきである。寝間には
女房の持参した夜着・
布団、化粧の間が
なければここに化粧道具を
飾るべきである。屏風など
はその夜立ててはならず、よく
日を見合わせて良い所に

The clothing should be hung separately on clothing racks for decoration. Upper-class people should hang seven garments that night, change to five garments at the third hour, and hang three garments at the fifth hour. There should be two or three clothing racks. The towel rack should be positioned in a more honorable location than the clothing racks. In the sleeping quarters should be the night wear and futons that the wife brought, and if there is no dressing room, cosmetic tools should be decorated here. Folding screens and such should not be set up that night, but should be carefully timed and placed in good locations.
