越後国信濃国村々地震二付堤川際其外とも
破損之場所見分仕立為御用罷越候二付被下之

領分地震ニ付居城住居向其外共及大破家中
在町共悉破損ニ付拝借之儀被相願候趣達
御聴可為難儀と被 思召候依之金三千両拝借

越後国信濃国の村々地震につき、堤防や川際その他とも
破損の場所を見分仕立のため御用で罷り越す候につき下される
右、伊賀守申し渡し候
四月二十三日
本多豊後守
領分地震につき居城住居向その他とも大破に及び、家中
在町とも悉く破損につき拝借の儀をお願いされた趣が
御聴に達し、難儀であろうとお思し召しになられ候。これにより金三千両拝借を
仰せ付けられる

locations of embankments, riverside areas, and other places.

Honda Bungo-no-kami
Regarding the earthquake in the domain territory, the castle residence quarters
and other areas suffered major damage, and both the samurai retainers and
town quarters were entirely damaged. The request for a loan has reached
His Lordship's attention, and thinking it must be a great hardship,
a loan of 3,000 ryō in gold is hereby granted.
