故にまた起し建たるに其夜亦倒れぬ人々不審した
るよし
右ハ此事の已前信州松本の藩士当国古渡東輪寺へ
来りし事あり其時の物語のよし
一この折ふし片髪こげて襦袢のやらの物を着し押切の街
を通行せしをある人の故を尋しかハ信州にて大難に遭
ひ同行をも失ひ身もかゝる体なるよし云落涙せしと
なり
一門前町にて波嘉といふ人戌亥屋某銘々弐三人連にて
参詣し此変にあふたれとも辛して免かれ帰る
一新川七本松の者町家相応身柄の人の宰領に頼まれ参り
たる処荷物路銀不残焼失主人初数人を松本に留
置夜を日に継て馳せかへり路用なんと調へ直に取て返し
向ひに走りよし由
一長者町医師村頼立斎彼夜にあひ身ハのかれたるをハ
当地にてハ死亡せしといひしか無恙よし音信あり
一上原の人ありて話に其日地震ハあれとも知らざる者
も有りとぞ
一駿河町の辺脇部広吉か母同勢三四人にて参詣し廿四日

右の話は、この事件の以前に信州松本の藩士が当国古渡の東輪寺へ来たことがあり、その時の物語だということです。
一、この時に、片方の髪が焦げて襦袢のような物を着て押切の街を通行していた者がいたので、ある人がその理由を尋ねたところ、信州にて大災難に遭い、同行者も失い、身もこのような有様だということを言って落涙したということです。
一、門前町にて波嘉という人、戌亥屋某など、銘々二、三人連れで参詣し、この変事に遭いましたが、辛うじて免れて帰りました。
一、新川七本松の者で、町家相応の身分の人の世話役を頼まれて参ったところ、荷物や路銀を残らず焼失し、主人をはじめ数人を松本に留め置き、夜を日に継いで馳せ帰り、路用などを調えて直ちに取って返し、向こうに走ったということです。
一、長者町の医師村頼立斎が、あの夜に遭い身は逃れたのを、当地では死亡したと言っていましたが、無事だという音信がありました。
