一貞享二年成喜坊遍照坊由来書に云当寺
護国山菅原寺開基年号等不＿レ詳古来伝言に
北野霊神勧請寺院三十六坊有＿レ之処千五句戦国中焼失
両坊之住持以＿二他力＿一神殿坊舎再建利家卿能州下
向菅原寺着座被＿レ成天神者御氏神に付此地
御滞在於＿二神前＿一祈誓可＿レ仕旨被＿レ命七尾江御
発足彼地御在陣之内御年筮幷御利運之
日取之考被仰下則考申上処天神社領廿五石

下人長者肝煎早々可呼込候万一兎角

現代語訳
一、貞享二年の成喜坊・遍照坊由来書に云う。当寺護国山菅原寺の開基年号等は詳らかでない。古来の伝言によると、北野霊神を勧請した寺院三十六坊があったが、千五句戦国中に焼失した。両坊の住持が他力により神殿・坊舎を再建した。利家卿が能州へ下向の際、菅原寺に着座され、天神は御氏神であるため、この地に御滞在中、神前にて祈誓を仕るべき旨を命ぜられた。七尾へ御発足され、彼の地に御在陣の間、御年筮並びに御利運の日取りの考えを仰せ下された。則ち考えて申し上げたところ、天神社領二十五石、両坊主領二十石の御印書を頂戴した。遍照坊の弟子十二三の小僧が夢想により発句した「へまもれ国月の光りも清き哉」。
道下の百姓等が逐電し、所々にいる由である。然れば地下人長者・肝煎を早々呼び込むべきである。万一とやかく申す在所々は、急度申し付けるものなり。

英語訳
1. According to the origin records of Seikibo and Henshojo written in Jokyo 2 (1685): The founding year of our temple, Gokokuyama Sugawara-ji, and other details are unclear. According to ancient oral traditions, there were 36 temple halls that enshrined the spirit of Kitano, but they were burned down during the Sengoku period conflicts. The chief priests of both halls rebuilt the shrine halls and temple buildings through divine assistance. When Lord Toshiie came down to Noto Province, he took his seat at Sugawara-ji, and since Tenjin was his clan deity, he commanded that prayers should be offered before the shrine during his stay at this place. He departed for Nanao, and during his military encampment there, he ordered considerations of annual divination and auspicious days for good fortune. When I duly considered and reported this, I received sealed documents granting 25 koku to Tenjin Shrine and 20 koku to both head priests. A disciple of Henshojo, a young monk of twelve or thirteen years, composed this hokku from a divine vision: "Guard well, O country, how pure is the moonlight."
The farmers of Michishita have fled and are scattered in various places. Therefore, the village headmen and administrators should be summoned immediately. Any places that raise objections should be dealt with strictly.

Since there are bandits in that vicinity, you should use your discretion there, and consider it a crime to hide farmers who should be brought out as those who cannot be taken.
