右利家卿親書恐くは慶長四年二月か乎能登分與

一按るに烈祖成續に云慶長三年四月利家長子利勝叙＿二

このように延々としている状態であるから、不都合なことである。なぜ延引の上、堅固になるのか、糺明することが専用である。恐々謹言

孫四郎殿 遣わし候
右は利家卿の親書で、おそらく慶長四年二月のことか。能登分与の参考として載せる。
一 考察するに、『烈祖成續』に言う「慶長三年四月、利家の長子利勝が従三位権中納言に叙任された」。注に言う「考察するに、利勝の弟孫四郎が従四位下に叙せられ侍従となった。おそらくこの時のことであるが、また明文がないので書かない。利勝は利長卿の前名である。今年四月十日、藩祖が譲国し世子が襲封した。利政君の能登分与によって叙位任官したのである」
一 また能登一国所領中、藩士の給地として判書を写す
加増として、台所入として四百俵を扶持させ候い畢んぬ。全て知行所とすべきである。件の如し

The above is a personal letter from Lord Toshiie, likely from the 2nd month of Keichō 4th year. This is recorded as reference material for the Noto domain allocation.
One item: Upon examination, the "Resuso Seishoku" states: "In the 4th month of Keichō 3rd year, Toshiie's eldest son Toshikatsu was appointed to the rank of Junior Third Rank, Provisional Middle Counselor." The annotation states: "Upon examination, Toshikatsu's younger brother Magoshirō was elevated to Junior Fourth Rank Lower Grade and made Chamberlain. This was probably at this time, but since there is no clear documentation, it is not recorded. Toshikatsu was the former name of Lord Toshinaga. On the 10th day of the 4th month of this year, the domain founder abdicated and the heir succeeded to the fief. This court rank and appointment was due to Lord Toshimasa's allocation of Noto."
One item: Also regarding the Noto domain territory, copying a sealed document granting stipend land to retainers:
As an increase and for household expenses, four hundred hyō are hereby granted as stipend. This shall be entirely treated as fief land. As per this document.
