現代語訳
松平筑前守殿
右の御使いは本多上野介、土井大炊助がこれを奉じ、則ち明朝早々に江戸に赴くべき旨を仰せ出されたという。大炊助は江戸に赴いた。
一、『三州志』に云う。九月、我が公は駿府に朝し、謁見の礼があった。これは先公養老の遺封を賜ったことによるものである。神君は加越能三州永封官許の証書を賜った。駿府から江都に届き、同月二十三日に登営し拝謁の儀があった。台徳幕下もまた三州永封官許の証書を賜い、左少将に転任した。
自註に云う。右の永封官許の証書両通とも、本紙は慶安三年三月江戸邸火災焼失の時に共に烏有となった。惜しいことである。
一、按ずるに、江戸邸火災は四月十九日である。三月とするのは恐らく誤りである。おそらく寛文三年四月の幕府届書が左の如くであり、これを載せる。『三州志』の自註はこれに拠ったのが誤りであろうか。
口上之覚
一、権現様・台徳院様・大献院様御三代の御朱印を肥前守が頂戴いたしました。然るところ慶安三年寅三月本郷の屋敷が類火に遭った刻に焼失いたしました。写しは御座候事。
右火災は『菅家見聞集』に左の如く載せている。

To Lord Matsudaira Chikuzen-no-kami
The aforementioned messengers, Honda Kozuke-no-suke and Doi Oi-no-suke, carried out this task, and it was declared that they should depart for Edo early the next morning. Oi-no-suke departed for Edo.
1. The "Sanshū-shi" (Records of Three Provinces) states: In the 9th month, our lord paid respects at Sunpu and there was a ceremony of audience. This was because he had been granted the hereditary fief of the previous lord for his retirement. The Divine Lord (Ieyasu) bestowed a certificate of official permission for the perpetual enfeoffment of the three provinces of Ka-Etsu-Nō. This was delivered from Sunpu to Edo, and on the 23rd of the same month, he went to the castle and had an audience ceremony. The Taitoku administration also bestowed a certificate of official permission for the perpetual enfeoffment of the three provinces and transferred his appointment to Sashōshō (Minor Captain of the Left).
The author's note states: Both copies of the aforementioned certificates of official permission for perpetual enfeoffment became nothing when the original documents were lost in the fire at the Edo residence in the 3rd month of Keian 3. This is regrettable.
1. Upon examination, the fire at the Edo residence occurred on the 19th day of the 4th month. Stating it as the 3rd month is probably an error. The shogunate's notification document from the 4th month of Kanbun 3 is recorded as follows. Perhaps the author's note in "Sanshū-shi" was mistaken based on this.
Memorandum of Verbal Report
1. Hizen-no-kami received the red seals of the three generations: Gongen-sama, Taitoku-in-sama, and Daikōin-sama. However, in the 3rd month of the year of the Tiger, Keian 3, when the Hongō residence was caught in a spreading fire, they were lost. Copies exist.
The aforementioned fire is recorded in "Kanka Kenbun-shū" as follows:
