一、四月二十六日、御長刀をお持ちになる件について、これまで御遠慮されていたが、次第に御先例に復されることになったので、お持ちになりたい旨を先だって御老中土屋相模守政直殿に大岡治右衛門忠尚殿を通じて御達しされたところ、今日、同所において治右衛門殿に左の通り御書付をお渡しになった。
松平兵部大輔殿が長刀をお持ちになりたいとの願いの件
美濃守各々にも相談したが、以前にお持ちになったことがあるので新規というわけでもない。その上、近年段々と立派にお取り立ていただいている御事であるから、長刀を勝手次第にお持ちになるのは尤もである。
一、大炊殿は同列の部屋住みの衆に聞き合わせたが、その通りになされるのが尤もである。
四月二十六日 土屋相模守
一、同月二十八日、御城廻御手伝の御場所で今日から御普請が始まる。これにより鍛冶橋と呉服橋の間七ヶ所に小屋を建て、御人数を配置した。

One: On the 26th day of the 4th month, regarding the matter of carrying the long sword, although he had been refraining from doing so until now, as he was gradually being restored to former precedents, he wished to carry it. This matter was previously communicated to Senior Councillor Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami Masanao through Ōoka Jiemon Tadanao, and today at the same place, the following written notice was given to Jiemon:
Regarding the matter of Matsudaira Hyōbu-dayu's wish to carry a long sword
Having consulted with Mino-no-kami and others, since he has carried one before, this is not a new request. Moreover, in recent years he has been progressively granted distinguished appointments, so it is reasonable for him to carry a long sword at his discretion.
One: As for Ōi-dono, having consulted with peers who are heir apparent residents, it is reasonable to proceed as such.
4th month, 26th day Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami
One: On the 28th day of the same month, construction work began today at the castle perimeter assistance site. Accordingly, huts were built at seven locations between Kajibashi and Gofukubashi bridges, and personnel were stationed there.
