一、十月二十六日、重陽の御祝儀御献上につき、御内書を御城において御渡しがあり、御家来への拝領物等は例の通りであった。
一、同月二十七日、御老中より左の通り連名の御切紙が来た。
御用の儀があるので、明日二十八日五時半に登城すべきである。

昌邦様御同道で御登城し、御黒書院の御縁通で御一緒に御目見えを仰せ上げ、上意があった。その後御次の間へ御退座し、御脇指をお取りになって御出座され、御下段の御敷居の内西の方へ御着座された。その節、御折紙（御一字「吉」）を御老中土屋相模守（政直）殿が指し出され、御一人ずつ御出座された。

There is an official matter, so you should ascend to the castle at 5:30 AM tomorrow, the 28th.

Afterward, [he] withdrew to the antechamber, took his short sword, came out to be seated, and took his seat in the western part within the threshold of the lower level. At that time, Senior Councilor Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami (Masanao) presented a folded paper (with the single character "Yoshi"), and [they] came forward one by one.
