一御通筋雪隠其外見苦敷

都而随分宜様ニ取繕ひ申候
一道々御通筋丁杭有之候是ハ御沙汰
ニハ無之候へ共村方ニ而心得ニ

一阿島様御役人中波合
御関所へ御出被成候由承申候
一飯嶋御役人中御出被成
途中ニ而御目ニ懸申候
尤御通筋ニ御支配所

一足助なとニ而見世店
支廻候と申ニは無御座候へ共
外へ張出候店台ニは実物
決而差置不申趣ニ御座候
現代語訳
一、お通りになる道筋の雪隠（便所）も外見の悪い
所は残らず簀で囲い、または板で
囲った所もございます。
一、辻の続きの家の間など見通しの
きく所は簀垣などで囲い、
すべて随分よろしいように取り繕っております。
一、道々お通りになる道筋に町杭がございます。これはお沙汰
ではございませんが、村方で心得として
立てたように承っております。
一、阿島様のご役人中が波合
御関所へお出でになったと承っております。
一、飯島のご役人中がお出でになり、
途中でお目にかかりました。
もっとも、お通りになる道筋にご支配所が
所々にございます。
一、足助などで見世店が
支障をきたすというわけではございませんが、
外へ張り出した店台には実物を
決して置かない趣でございます。
英語訳
One: Along the route where [the survey party] will pass, privies (toilets) that look unsightly
are all enclosed with reed screens, or in some places enclosed
with wooden boards.
One: At intersections and between houses where there is a clear line of sight,
they are enclosed with reed fences and such,
everything being properly tidied up to look as good as possible.
One: Along the roads on the route, there are town boundary markers. These are not
by official order, but we understand they were erected
by the villages as a precautionary measure.
One: We heard that officials from Ajima-sama went to
the Namiai checkpoint.
One: Officials from Iijima came out and
we met them on the way.
Of course, there are administrative territories
in various places along the route.
One: At places like Asuke, it's not that the shops
are causing obstructions, but
on the shop stands that extend outward, they
absolutely do not place actual merchandise.
