相定申一札之事
御子息亥三郎殿此度北原理左衛門殿以御セ話我等
養子ニ貰請娘やすと妻合跡式相続為致申候
然ル上者我等所持之山林四ケ所田畑家屋敷家督
不残譲渡申候相定ニ御座候尤幼年之男子弥恵壱人
御座候得共此義者成長之上別家為致候ハゝ下モ町南側
角ニ而所持之屋敷壱ケ所尤右屋敷沢屋初太郎方江請
戻しニ相成候節者代金を以相渡可申候外元手金幷家財
之儀者亥三郎殿任取斗可申候尚又田畑所持之内
三ツ壱ツ分山林板町村分とんくり坂ニ而壱ケ所相添
可申事併本家不模通之節者別家不為致し候共
万端亥三郎殿了簡ニ相任セ可申事且我等
及老年致隠居候共別段隠居免ニ不及候事若自然
此末不熟ニ而致離縁候ハゝ中町南側所持之屋敷壱ケ所ニ
為元手金三拾両也亥三郎殿へ相渡可申事万一当人ゟ
身退候節者其節之心得を以元手金相渡可申事
右之通相定申候上者此末相互ニ少茂相違仕間敷候

取り決めに関する一札の件
御子息亥三郎殿におかれましては、この度北原理左衛門殿の仲介により、私どもの養子として娘やすを嫁に迎えられ、跡継ぎとして家督相続をなさることになりました。
つきましては、私どもが所持する山林四ヶ所、田畑、家屋敷、家督をすべて残らず譲渡いたします約定でございます。なお、幼い男子弥恵が一人おりますが、この子については成長の上で分家をさせる場合には、下モ町南側の角にて所持している屋敷一ヶ所を与えます。ただし、その屋敷を沢屋初太郎方へ返却することになった際には、代金をもって渡すことにいたします。その他の元手金並びに家財の件については、亥三郎殿のお取り計らいにお任せいたします。
なお、田畑所持のうち三分の一と、山林は板町村分のとんくり坂にて一ヶ所を付け加えて差し上げます。ただし、本家に不都合がある際には、分家をさせずとも、万事亥三郎殿のご判断にお任せいたします。また、私どもが高齢となって隠居いたしましても、別段隠居料は不要でございます。
もし万一、この先不和により離縁することになりましたら、中町南側所持の屋敷一ヶ所と元手金三十両を亥三郎殿へお渡しいたします。当人から身を引く場合には、その時の心得をもって元手金をお渡しいたします。
以上の通り取り決めました上は、この先お互いに少しも相違することはございません。後日のため取り決め書として、よって件の如し。

Document Regarding Mutual Agreement
Your son Inosaburo has, through the good offices of Mr. Kitahara Rizaemon, taken our daughter Yasu as wife in an adoptive marriage arrangement and will inherit the family headship as successor.
Therefore, we hereby agree to transfer all of our holdings without exception: four mountain forest areas, rice fields and other farmland, house and residential land, and family headship to him. We have one young son named Yakei, but should he establish a branch family when he comes of age, we will provide him with one residential plot that we own at the southern corner of Shimomachi. However, if this property needs to be returned to the Sawaya Hatsutaro family, we will provide compensation in money instead. All other startup funds and household goods shall be at the discretion of Inosaburo.
Furthermore, we will add one-third of our farmland holdings plus one mountain forest area at Tonkuri slope in Itamachi village. However, if it proves inconvenient for the main family, we need not establish the branch family, and everything shall be left to Inosaburo's judgment. Even when we retire due to advanced age, no separate retirement stipend will be required.
Should there unfortunately be discord leading to divorce in the future, we will transfer to Inosaburo one residential property in Nakamachi Minamigawa and thirty ryo in startup funds. If the person herself withdraws, we will provide startup funds according to the circumstances at that time.
Having made these agreements, there shall be no deviation between us henceforth. This agreement document is executed for future reference.
