現代語訳
さて、とんだ茶釜は、うどん屋のとっくり、かっぱ屋のすり鉢などを仲間に誘い、月夜の晩に身を持ち崩した遊女の元へ忍び込み、難なく小金の釜を盗み出し、自分の宿に深く隠して朝夕大切に世話をして可愛がったけれど、どうしても心が自分になびかず、銀の茶釜へ真剣に想いを寄せるので、文福茶釜ももはや我慢できず、船遊山に事寄せて両国川へ出て、小金の釜を嬲り殺しにしようとする。
♪金の茶釜【銀の茶釜の】方では、小金の釜の行方が分からないことを心配に思い、そば猪口と茶碗に命じて小金の行方を探索させる。

茶碗はいろいろに変装して小金の釜を探し出そうと、今日は猿回しとなって船へ出かけたところ、向こうに繋いである屋形船で小金の釜が苦しんでいるのを見つけ、それとは言わずにいろいろと詫び事をして、ついに金子千両で買い取った。

英語訳
Now, Tonda Chagama (Flying Tea Kettle) enlisted companions including Udon-ya no Tokkuri (Udon Shop's Sake Flask) and Kappa-ya no Surikogi (Kappa Shop's Pestle), and on a moonlit night, they snuck into the quarters of a fallen courtesan and easily stole Kogane no Kama (Golden Kettle), hiding her deep in his lodging and caring for her tenderly morning and evening. However, her heart would not turn to him at all, and she remained devoted to Gin no Chagama (Silver Tea Kettle), so Bunbuku Chagama could no longer bear it and, using a pleasure boat excursion as pretext, went out to Ryogoku River intending to torment Kogane no Kama to death.
♪On Kin no Chagama's [Gin no Chagama's] side, worried about not knowing Kogane no Kama's whereabouts, he ordered Soba-choko (Soba Cup) and Chawan (Tea Bowl) to search for Kogane's location.

On a houseboat moored opposite, he spotted Kogane no Kama in distress, and without revealing who he was, made various apologies and finally bought her for a thousand ryo in gold.
