現代語訳
【右丁】
千年東山殿のご秘蔵であった松風という銀の茶釜は、広く世に忘れられて、今は諸太夫道具の支配をして、その身内に一つ不足なく眷族多数を使って暮らしていたが、鷹狩りを好み、今日も鷹野に出て自身で摂政して野辺を徘徊していた折、かの黄金の釜をちらりと見初めた。
♪「さてさて、容姿が気高い、よい釜だな」
茶碗「お供いたします」
♪「いかにも浜村屋の舞台顔にそのままでございます」

The silver tea kettle called Matsukaze, which had been a treasured possession of the Thousand-Year Higashiyama Lord, was widely forgotten by the world. Now it governed various ceremonial utensils, living with many retainers under its command, lacking nothing. Being fond of falconry, today too it went out to the hawking grounds and was personally conducting a hunt, wandering about the fields, when it caught a glimpse of that golden kettle.
♪"Well, well, what noble bearing, what a fine kettle!"
Tea bowl: "I shall accompany you."
♪"Indeed, it looks exactly like the stage face of Hamamuraya!"

♪The golden kettle, deceived by our pot into thinking it would return to China, was lured by the teahouse master's scheme and rode in a palanquin to Yoshiwara.
♪"Since we sold the kettle, it's a real 'kettle payment' with the tea kettle paying. How about 'kettle lodging' getting better and better?"
♪"How kettle-some! What a fine lord!"
