一御仕置筋之儀ニ付御為存付候ハヽ訴訟すへき事
一諸役人を初詰下代等并町在役人共ニ至迄《見せ消ち：ゑ｜え》こひゐきの取扱いたしまひるひを
取私願こまらし儀有之候ハヽ訴訟すへき事
一役所へ願達等有之節役所ニ而詮議を不遂長々遅滞に及ひ候ハヽ訴訟すへき事
但直訴に及ふの旨役所へ相断可申出事
一何事によらす自分たしかに不知儀を人に頼まれ申出ましき事
一自分の為によろしき儀或ハ私の遣状を以人の悪事を申成ましき事
一有体を不申実情を失ひ事を取繕ひ少にても虚説を申飾る間敷事
一役所へ相達すへき訴訟を其筋へ申出さる前或ハ役所へ達する砌裁許済さる内申出
間敷事
一町人百姓の為に指出有之目安箱に候へハ御扶持人の輩訴訟之儀ハ無用之事若
御扶持人之輩其支配頭へ対し申出かたき儀有之候ハヽ御目付へ訴訟すへき事
但右何も申出間敷の旨停止せしむる訴訟有之におゐてハ吟味之上品ニより曲事たるへし
右之条々相心得町人百姓遠慮なく添状目安箱へ入へし尤訴状に当人の住所并
其町在役人共の内連名加印いたすへし其町在の身分に掛り候訴状ハ訴人
の親類共之内加印可有之者也

定
一、御仕置筋の件について御意見がおありの場合は訴訟すべきこと
一、諸役人をはじめ詰下代など並びに町在役人たちに至るまで、えこひいきの取り扱いをし、取り私や願いを困らせる件があれば訴訟すべきこと
一、役所へ願い出などがある際、役所において詮議を遂げず長々と遅滞に及んだ場合は訴訟すべきこと
ただし直訴に及ぶ旨を役所へ相談して申し出ること
一、何事によらず自分がはっきりと知らない件を人に頼まれて申し出てはならないこと
一、自分のために都合の良いこと、あるいは私的な遺恨をもって人の悪事を申し立ててはならないこと
一、ありのままを申さず実情を失い、事を取り繕い少しでも虚説を申し飾ってはならないこと
一、役所へ相達すべき訴訟をその筋へ申し出さずに、あるいは役所へ達する際に裁許が済まないうちに申し出てはならないこと
一、町人百姓のために設置してある目安箱であるから、御扶持人の輩の訴訟の件は無用のこと。もし御扶持人の輩でその支配頭に対し申し出がたい件があれば御目付へ訴訟すべきこと
ただし右のいずれも申し出てはならない旨を停止させる訴訟があった場合は、吟味の上品により曲事とすべし
右の条々を心得て、町人百姓は遠慮なく添状を目安箱へ入れるべし。もっとも訴状には当人の住所並びにその町在役人たちの内から連名で加印すべし。その町在の身分に関わる訴状は訴人の親類たちの内から加印すべき者である。

Understanding these articles, townspeople and farmers should submit their petitions to the suggestion box without hesitation. Petitions must include the petitioner's address and be co-signed by town/village officials. For petitions concerning the status of town/village people, they should be co-signed by the petitioner's relatives.
