文政十三子ノ十月十五日右本文之通被仰出候処御匕医師ゟ歎願之口上書指出有之内天保三辰二月七日
栗崎良叔医業心懸無之趣ニ付御吟味之上家督拾人扶持被下置候右子細ハ良叔儀実家ニ
罷在候内稽古所江罷越或ハ殺生等好候由ニ而医業之心掛者無之趣ニ付前文之通被仰出も
有之候処不都合之儀ニ付減録【ママ】被仰付候事然ル処御匕医師を初一統歎願差出万一
此願御取揚無之節ハ御匕医師不残退役願差出候様之趣ニ付不軽事故御家老中江者
程能御達申候処追而厚御評議之上左之通被仰出

親并跡目之者不調法之筋合も無之候得者家督之儀者御吟味次第是迄之振合ニ被仰付
其上ニ而家業心掛等不宜心得違之品於有之ハ是迄之御咎よりも厳敷可被仰付旨

右之趣歎願之口上書ニ附紙ニ而御下ケ被成ニ付山田敬順横田作太夫宅へ相招相達之候

文政十三年子の十月十五日、右本文の通り仰せ出されたところ、御匕医師より嘆願の口上書が指し出されたが、その内容は天保三年辰の二月七日、栗崎良叔の医業への心掛けがない趣により御吟味の上、家督十人扶持を下し置かれたことである。右の子細は、良叔の件で実家にいる間に稽古所へ通ったり、或いは殺生等を好んだりして医業への心掛けがない趣により、前文の通り仰せ出されたが、不都合な件により減録を仰せ付けられたことである。しかるところ御匕医師を初めとして一統で嘆願を差し出し、万一この願いが御取り上げされない節は御匕医師残らず退役願を差し出すという趣により、軽くない事故として御家老中へは程よく御達し申したところ、追って厚い御評議の上、左の通り仰せ出された。
天保三年辰の六月七日
親並びに跡目の者で不調法の筋合いもなければ、家督の件は御吟味次第でこれまでの振り合いに仰せ付け、その上で家業への心掛け等がよくない心得違いの品があれば、これまでの御咎めよりも厳しく仰せ付けられる旨、内達の通り成し下されること
右の趣を嘆願の口上書に附紙にて御下げ成されたため、山田敬順を横田作太夫宅へ招いて相達したのである。

【Attached Note】
On October 15th of Bunsei 13 (Year of the Rat), the above main text was issued as ordered, whereupon a petition was submitted by the domain physicians. The content concerned Kurisaki Ryōshuku, who on February 7th of Tenpō 3 (Year of the Dragon), due to his lack of dedication to medical practice, had his family succession of ten-person stipend granted after investigation. The details were that while Ryōshuku was staying at his family home, he would go to training schools or engage in hunting and such activities, showing no dedication to medical practice, which led to the aforementioned order being issued, but due to improper conduct, a reduction in stipend was ordered. However, the head physician and others submitted a collective petition, stating that if this petition was not accepted, all domain physicians would submit resignation requests. Given the gravity of this matter, it was properly reported to the senior councilors, and after thorough deliberation, the following was ordered:
Tenpō 3, Year of the Dragon, June 7th
If there are no improprieties regarding the parent or heir, the matter of succession shall be decided according to investigation following previous precedents, and furthermore, if there are instances of poor dedication to one's profession or misunderstandings, punishment shall be more severe than previous reprimands, as per the internal directive.
This message was attached as a supplementary note to the petition and delivered, so Yamada Keijun was invited to Yokota Sakutayū's residence to convey this information.
