相勤御香炉等指上候事ニ候へハ此度格別之思召を以増上寺へ御掛合之上
一臈飛金袈裟着用之儀御領分中被差免候事
但一臈移転遷化等之節ハ取揚其段可相達事

立七ケ年半減御借米被仰付長々困窮を相凌無滞致上納御満足被

未た御年限明ニハ無之候へ共来未年ゟ半減御免被成候御借米不残御免も被
成度思召ニ候へ共右年限中御吉凶ニ付不時過分之御入増共ニ付不被仰止
八歩通御借米被仰付候勿論諸上納之儀ハ去ル子年迄之通相心得可申候尤一統
難儀相凌相勤事ニ候得ハ猶更倹約厳重相守是迄之通諸事致省略
取続相勤候様被仰出候 但今年之儀も御家中之面々末々迄乍少分御手当被成下候委細之儀ハ
御勘定所ゟ相触筈候

○飛金袈裟の件について先日運正寺から願い出があった趣もあるため、別紙の通り仰せ出されたのでその旨申し伝えること

○鎮西派一臈の者の飛金袈裟着用について、運正寺の名帳に故障がある際の名代を務め、香炉等を差し上げる件であるので、この度格別のお考えにより増上寺へ掛け合いの上、一臈の飛金袈裟着用を領分中において許可する件

○長年にわたる財政難の上、去る丑年の霊巖島類焼によりやむを得ず方針を立て、七ヶ年半減の借米を命じたが、長期間の困窮に耐えて滞りなく上納し満足に思われる。御家中が必至に困窮している趣が聞こえ、一同が難儀することを甚だ心痛に思われ、まだ年限は明けていないが、来る未年から半減を免除される。借米を全て免除したいお考えであるが、右年限中の吉凶による不時の過分な費用増加のため取り止めとせず、八歩通りの借米を命じる。もちろん諸上納については去る子年までの通りと心得ること。もっとも一同が難儀に耐えて勤めることであるので、なお一層倹約を厳重に守り、これまで通り諸事を省略して継続して勤めるよう仰せ出される。
但し今年についても御家中の面々末々まで少額ながら手当を下される。詳細については勘定所から触れる予定である

○Regarding the matter of the flying gold kesa, since Unshōji Temple recently made a petition concerning this, it has been decreed as stated in the separate document, so please communicate this matter.

○Regarding the wearing of flying gold kesa by senior monks of the Chinzei sect, since they serve as representatives when there are issues with Unshōji Temple's registry and present incense burners and such, through special consideration this time and after consultation with Zōjōji Temple, the wearing of flying gold kesa by senior monks is permitted throughout the domain.
However, when senior monks transfer or pass away, these shall be collected and reported accordingly.
This is to be communicated to Unshōji Temple as stated above.
November 20th
To the Monthly Duty Officers
○Due to years of financial difficulties and the unavoidable fire at Reigan Island in the recent Year of the Ox, a policy was necessarily established imposing half-reduction borrowed rice for seven years. Despite enduring long hardship, you have made payments without delay, which is most satisfactory. Learning that retainers are in dire straits and that all will face hardship causes great concern. Although the term has not yet expired, the half-reduction will be lifted from the coming Year of the Sheep. While there is desire to forgive all borrowed rice, due to unexpected excessive expenditures from various fortunate and unfortunate events during this period, this cannot be discontinued, so eight-bu rate borrowed rice is imposed. Of course, regarding various payments, maintain the same understanding as up to the recent Year of the Rat. Since all are enduring hardship while serving, practice even stricter economy and continue serving with the same省略 in all matters as before.
However, this year as well, stipends, though small, will be provided to retainers at all levels. Details will be announced by the Accounting Office.
