ゑさせよゑしきにせんとの給へはみやかほうち
あかめてゆめ〳〵さる事はなしと申させ給へは

をあたへんそなんちかまもりにかけたるおとこは
いかにとてさしおよひみやの御くしをつかみて

絵させよ、絵師にせんと仰せになるので、宮が「法師となって、夢にもそのようなことはない」と申されると、大王は大いに怒られて「我が子よ、今まで大切に育ててきた。これほどの所望を聞かずに恥を与えるのか。そなたの近くの守りにかけたる男はいかに」とて差し及び、宮の御髪を掴んで引き寄せ殺そうとなさるのを、母上は走り寄って取りついて「なう、いかなる虫けらものに至るまでも子を思う習いでございます。ただ今の宮の命を私にお与えください」と悲しまれるので、「それならばただ今の命ばかりは助けるのだ。
