つくして有へきによしなきわらはにともなひ

このような事はまずないであろう。月夜の花の夜の御遊びなど、数を尽くしてあるべきなのに、つまらない私に伴われて、このような辛い目をご覧になることが悲しい」と書き口説きなさると、中将は涙を流して仰せになるには「私たちはこの恋ゆえにはかなく死ぬべき運命でしたが、普賢菩薩の御計らいとして深山に伴い参らせて、今まで命長らえてまいりました。明日死ぬであろう命は露や塵ほども惜しくはありません。されながら、多くの心を尽くしつつ、いくほどもなくして離れることの悲しさよ。それも前世の事であるので、今生の契りは申すに及ばず、来世では必ず会い
