　寺院等ニ而隔候場所は打継候
　末之町ゟ申通右同様相図を以
　為知合早速御府内不残行届
　候様取計右拍子木承り次第
　触面之通支配場町々相廻家主共
　当番之人数を増繁々店々相廻り
　風相止候迄は御用之外は其方共も
　自身番屋え相詰居候程ニ相心得
　世話可致候
一奉行所ゟ役人相廻し町役人とも
　守り方精不精之様子見届善悪共
　夫々沙汰可及候条兼而其段可相心得候

現代語訳

寺院等で隔てられている場所は、打ち継ぎの最後の町から申し伝えて、右同様の合図をもって知らせ合い、速やかに御府内全域に漏れなく行き届くように取り計らうこと。右の拍子木を承り次第、触書の通り支配場所の町々を廻り、家主たちは当番の人数を増やし、頻繁に店々を廻ること。風が止むまでは、御用の外はそなたたちも自身番屋に詰めているほどに心得て、世話をすること。

一、奉行所から役人が廻って、町役人たちの守り方の精不精の様子を見届け、善悪共にそれぞれ沙汰に及ぶであろうから、兼ねてその段を心得ておくこと。

For areas separated by temples and such, the relay shall continue from the final town in the chain, using the same signals to communicate with each other, ensuring that the entire Edo domain is covered swiftly and without omission. Upon hearing the aforementioned clappers, landlords shall follow the written instructions and patrol the towns under their jurisdiction, increasing the number of personnel on duty and frequently making rounds of the shops. Until the wind subsides, except for official duties, you too should remain stationed at the neighborhood watch posts and attend to your responsibilities.

1. Officials from the magistrate's office will make rounds to observe whether the town officials are diligent or negligent in their guard duties, and judgments will be made accordingly regarding both good and bad performance. Therefore, you should be mindful of this in advance.
