右は先達而両度伺之上霊岸島
川口町家持伝吉え御修復受負
申付此節出来仕候間右御入用同人え
相渡候様町年寄え被仰渡可被

一永代橋定番人利助伊之助奉申上候当
　御橋東西広小路往還不陸之場所
　道造御修復被成下置難有奉存候然ル処
　東西広小路商床前不陸之場所
　別紙絵図面之通出商人共入用を以
　道造仕度何卒御聞済被成下置候様

現代語訳

右の件は、先日両度伺いの上、霊岸島
川口町の家持伝吉へ御修復請負を
申し付け、この度完成いたしましたので、右御入用を同人へ
相渡し候よう町年寄へ仰せ渡されるべく
下されたく候。以上

　　　恐れながら書付を以て願い上げ奉り候
一、永代橋定番人利助・伊之助申し上げ候。当

　別紙絵図面の通り、出商人共の入用を以て

Regarding the above matter, after making inquiries twice previously, we assigned the repair contract to Denkichi, a property owner in Kawaguchi-machi, Reiganjima. As the work has now been completed, please instruct the town elders to deliver the said expenses to the same person.

1. Risuke and Inosuke, permanent guards of Eitaibashi, respectfully report: Regarding the uneven sections of the east-west Hiroji thoroughfare at this bridge, we are grateful that road construction and repairs have been carried out. However, for the uneven areas in front of the commercial stalls on the east-west Hiroji, as shown in the attached drawing, we would like to carry out road construction at the expense of the visiting merchants. We humbly request your approval for this matter.
