　　乍恐以書付御訴奉申上候
一永代橋定番人利助伊之助奉申上候当御橋
　東西広小路往還不陸之場所道造御修復
　被成下置難有奉存候然ル処東西広小路
　商床前不陸之場所出商人共入用を以道
　造仕度段当月十八日奉願上候得は御見分
　之上願之通被　仰付難有仕合奉存候

現代語訳

恐れながら書付をもって御訴え申し上げ奉ります。
一、永代橋定番人利助・伊之助が申し上げますのは、当橋の東西広小路往来の路面が悪くなっている箇所の道路修築をご修復していただき、ありがたく存じ上げております。しかしながら、東西広小路の商売床前の路面が悪くなっている箇所を、出商人たちの費用負担で道路を造りたいという件につきまして、今月十八日に願い上げましたところ、ご見分の上、願いの通りお仰せ付けいただき、ありがたい仕合わせと存じ上げております。

We humbly submit this petition in writing.
Item: The permanent guards of Eitaibashi, Risuke and Inosuke, respectfully state that we are grateful for the road construction and repair work that has been undertaken for the uneven sections of the east-west Hirokoji thoroughfare at this bridge. However, regarding our petition submitted on the 18th day of this month requesting that the traveling merchants fund the road construction for the uneven sections in front of the commercial stalls on the east-west Hirokoji, we are most grateful that after inspection, our request was approved as petitioned, which we consider a most fortunate outcome.
