仕差合等ニ而人少之節も夜番引続相勤候
儀ニ付夜番中増御手当御入用三橋ニ而
十月ゟ三月迄六ケ月平均四拾六両三分
銭五百文相懸り候間御下ケ金被成下候様
願出候ニ付取調候処諸雑費等相懸り候段は
無相違相聞候間対馬守殿え相伺候処増
御手当之儀は願之通被下置尤火之元守方
流弊不致様毎年九月ニ至相伺可申旨
被仰渡候間右橋番人并掛名主共一同
昨日鯨船鞘番所え呼出私共立合願通

人員の都合等で人数が少ない時も夜番を引き続き勤めることになったため、夜番中の増額手当として御入用が三橋で十月から三月まで六か月平均四十六両三分銭五百文かかりますので、御下げ金を下されますよう願い出ましたところ、取り調べたところ諸雑費等がかかる件については間違いないと聞いておりますので、対馬守殿へ相談したところ、増額手当の件については願いの通りお下げになり、もっとも火の元守方で悪弊を生じないよう毎年九月に至って相談申すべき旨を仰せ渡されましたので、右の橋番人並びに掛名主ども一同、昨日鯨船鞘番所へ呼び出し、私ども立ち合いのもと願いの通り申し渡しました。これにより、この件をご報告いたします。以上

Even when personnel arrangements resulted in fewer people available, night watch duties continued to be performed. Therefore, for the additional allowances during night watch duties, the required expenses for the three bridges averaged 46 ryō, 3 bu, and 500 mon over six months from the tenth month to the third month. A request was submitted for funding to be provided. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that various miscellaneous expenses were indeed incurred. When consulted, Lord Tsushima-no-kami approved the additional allowances as requested, with the stipulation that to prevent any corruption in fire prevention duties, this matter should be reviewed annually each ninth month. Accordingly, yesterday all the bridge guards and responsible headmen were summoned to the Kujira-bune Saya guard post, where, in our presence, the approved arrangements were communicated to them. We hereby report on this matter. The above.
