一風烈之節は町々ニ而御用之外は堅ク
　他出不致火之元而已相守屋根上
　庇したみ等え水うち有合之桶
　其外え水を汲溜置へき事
　　但屋根上之防之為メ梯子并
　　水籠水鉄砲等用意いたし置可申候
一平日も竈はいふに不及二階物置等も
　惣而目遠き場所はたへす見廻り
　夜中はねふし候節家内を改消炭
　其外をとくと見届可申事
一湯屋を始おふ火を焚候渡世は猶更
　建具屋舂米屋はかんな屑わら

一、風の強い日には町々において御用以外は堅く
　外出をせず、火の元のみを守り、屋根上や
　庇、軒下などに水を打ち、手近にある桶
　その他に水を汲み溜めておくこと
　　ただし屋根上の防火のため梯子並びに
　　水籠、水鉄砲等を用意しておくべし
一、平日も竈は言うに及ばず、二階、物置等も
　総じて目の届かない場所は絶えず見回り、
　夜中は寝る際に家内を改めて調べ、消し炭
　その他をよく見届けること
一、湯屋をはじめ火を焚く商売は尚更のこと、
　建具屋、舂米屋はかんな屑、藁

1. On windy days, in all neighborhoods, except for official business, people are strictly forbidden from going out. They must guard only their fire sources, splash water on rooftops, eaves, and overhangs, and store water in nearby buckets and other containers.

1. Even on ordinary days, not only hearths but also second floors, storage areas, and all places that are out of sight must be constantly patrolled. At night, before sleeping, the household must be thoroughly inspected, and extinguished charcoal and other materials must be carefully checked.
