一 当村石切之儀村中不残取調書上仕候処荊
壱人茂無御座候石切稼ニ罷出旅先ニ而石切弟子召
抱不申候猶又商売先実躰相廻り可申候様
具ニ申聞候処可承知仕奉得其意候若此上ニも不
吟味成義有之候而後日被成御聞及候て其元ゟ早
速御注進可被成候其上如何様之御咎筋
被 仰付候共少茂御恨無御座候為後日連印

差上申一札之事
一、当村の石切の件につきまして、村中残らず取り調べて書き上げ致しましたところ、一人も御座いません。石切稼業に出かけ、旅先で石切の弟子を召し抱えることは致しません。なお商売先の実情を見回り申すよう詳しく申し聞かせましたところ、承知仕ると申し、その意を得ました。もしこの上にも吟味が不十分な件がございまして、後日お聞き及びになりましたら、そちらから早速御注進なさって下さい。その上でいかなる御咎めをお申し付けになりましても、少しも御恨みは御座いません。後日のため連名で印を押した一札、よって件の如し。

Regarding the matter of this written pledge submitted:
Item: Concerning the stone cutters of our village, we have investigated and recorded every person in the village without exception, and there is not even one person [engaged in stone cutting]. Those who go out to work as stone cutters shall not take on stone cutting apprentices while traveling. Furthermore, we have instructed them in detail to observe the actual conditions of their business destinations, and they have expressed understanding and accepted these instructions. Should there be any matters of inadequate investigation beyond this point, and should you hear of them later, please promptly report from your end. Even if any punishment is imposed upon us thereafter, we harbor no resentment whatsoever. This jointly sealed pledge is for future reference, therefore as stated above.
