海上人が入定し、直縁が出現された。丹波島宿は二十軒余りが流失し、南の方は御幣川を境として村々が平らに一面水中となった。小森村は流失し、真島村も流失して千曲川へ押し入り、寺尾村へ水が上がり、松代へ突きかかったところ、お城の裏に先年新規に築き立てておかれた土手で水を除いたため、松代へは水が入らなかった。それより川東の高井郡木島平、西は水内郡から越後国新潟まで、およそ六十里余りの間で川辺の村々が水害に遭い、老父母が多く死んだ。

A monk named Kaijōjin entered meditation and a direct spiritual connection appeared. More than twenty houses at Tanbashima post station were swept away, and to the south, with Gohei River as the boundary, the villages became a flat expanse under water. Komori Village was washed away, Majima Village was also swept away and pushed into the Chikuma River, water rose to Terao Village and surged toward Matsushiro. However, because of the embankment that had been newly constructed behind the castle in previous years, the water was diverted and did not enter Matsushiro. From there, to the east of the river in Takai District at Kijimadaira, and to the west from Minochi District to Niigata in Echigo Province, over a distance of about sixty ri, riverside villages suffered flood damage and many elderly fathers and mothers died.
