延久二年十月二十日半夜に地震が起こり、洛中の家々の
築垣がところどころ崩れ落ちた。東大寺の鐘が震動して落下し、諸国の寺塔も
破損した。二十三日にも時々また地震があった。

Enkyū 2nd year, 10th month, 20th day, at midnight there was an earthquake, and the
earthen walls of houses throughout Rakuchū collapsed in various places. The bell of Tōdaiji Temple shook and fell, and pagodas of temples in various provinces were also
damaged. On the 23rd day, there were earthquakes again from time to time.
