神宮火事がいよいよ叡念が重なって、その事を申し上げるために急速に進発された《割書：中略》
天皇の詔旨
去年十二月二十一日、太神宮火災の事を聞き召して驚かれ、惶懼まことに深く、
別して申し賜う司天所の奏する変異がともに繁く上に、
何況や去年十二月二十九日に地儀が大震して驚く
ところ殊に甚だしい。これを卜筮させるに、巽坤方の神社が祟りをなすと
申している。巽方はすなわち太神宮に相当し給う。
何の咎や祟りであろうかと惶り御座すのは尤もである。天降り賜うた
深い誓いを誤らざる天よ、朕は縦令不肖なりとも必ず冥助を蒙らん。
恐み恐みも申し賜うと申す

The Ise Shrine fire incident, with imperial concerns mounting, urgent dispatch was made to report this matter《marginal note: abbreviated》
Imperial Edict
Upon hearing of the Great Shrine fire disaster on the 21st day of the 12th month of last year, [His Majesty] was shocked and his fear and trepidation were truly deep.
Separately reporting, the Bureau of Astronomy's reports of anomalies have been frequent, and
moreover, on the 29th day of the 12th month of last year, the earth shook greatly, causing alarm
that was particularly severe. When divination was performed regarding this, it was reported that shrines in the southeast-southwest directions were causing divine retribution.
The southeast direction corresponds to the Great Ise Shrine.
It is natural to be alarmed wondering what transgression or divine curse this might be. O Heaven that bestowed the deep vows without error, though I may be unworthy, I will surely receive divine assistance.
With fear and trepidation, this is humbly reported
