大地震保延以往無如此之地震云々東大寺
大鐘被振落了又同大仏螺髪少々落了云々

東大寺 言上地震之間大仏螺髪二口落観
音前又頂上螺髪抜上又大鐘釣切落大地又
印蔵丑寅角頽落是依敏覚之逆罪有恠異者

幣也自神祗官進発上卿実定卿弁権右中弁
親宗朝臣是則去地震成祟之方神社也伊勢使
兼康也中臣永親忌部友平卜部兼貞八幡権
中納言雅頼卿賀茂頼定卿松尾貞清卿平野

○玉葉 治承元年《安元三年》十月二十七日癸巳 丑の刻頃
大地震があった。保延以来このような地震はなかったという。東大寺の
大鐘が振り落とされた。また同じく大仏の螺髪が少々落ちたという。
○百練抄 高倉天皇
治承元年十月二十七日丑の刻 大地震
東大寺が言上するには、地震の間に大仏の螺髪二口が落ち、観
音の前、また頂上の螺髪が抜け上がった。また大鐘の釣り紐が切れて大地に落ち、また
印蔵の丑寅の角が頽れ落ちた。これは敏覚の逆罪により怪異があるのである。
○顕広王記 安元三年十一月二十四日 九社への奉幣である。
神祇官から進発し、上卿は実定卿、弁は権右中弁
親宗朝臣である。これは先の地震で祟りをなした方角の神社である。伊勢使は
兼康である。中臣永親、忌部友平、卜部兼貞。八幡は権
中納言雅頼卿、賀茂は頼定卿、松尾は貞清卿、平野は
右大弁長方という。

○Gyokuyō Jishō 1 (An'gen 3), 10th month, 27th day, mizunoto-mi, around the hour of the ox
There was a great earthquake. It is said there has been no such earthquake since the Hōen era. The great bell of Tōdai-ji was shaken and fell. Also, some of the spiral curls (rahotsu) of the Great Buddha fell.

Jishō 1, 10th month, 27th day, hour of the ox - Great earthquake
Tōdai-ji reported that during the earthquake, two spiral curls of the Great Buddha fell before the Kannon statue, and spiral curls from the crown also came loose. The great bell's suspension cord broke and it fell to the ground. Also, the northeast corner of the sutra repository collapsed. This strange phenomenon occurred due to the sinful rebellion of Binkaku.

Dispatched from the Jingi-kan (Department of Divinities), with Senior Noble Sanesada as chief, and Gon-u-chūben Chikamuneshin as secretary. These are shrines in the direction that caused the curse from the previous earthquake. The Ise messenger is Kaneyasu. Nakatomi Naganaka, Inbe Tomohira, Urabe Kanesada. For Hachiman shrine, Gon-chūnagon Masayori; for Kamo, Yorisada; for Matsuo, Sadakiyo; for Hirano, Udaiben Nagakata, etc.
