○平戸記 寛元三年五月二十五日 今日巳の刻に地震があった。
二十七日庚申 午の一点にまた地震があった。
二十八日辛酉 今日巳の刻頃にまた地震があった。
六月八日辛未 今朝また地震があり、連綿として絶えることがない。恐ろしい、恐ろしい。
七月二十六日戊午 今夜丑の刻に大地震があった。私は驚いて眠りから覚め、動揺が常を絶していた。篇驚して走り出て庭上に立った。この後、寝所にいた者たちの多くは破損し、昨日修理を加えた。蓬門は西に傾き、釘尻などが離れ分かれた。車宿屋は東に傾いたが、寝殿については余り良く、長い間動揺していたのが漸く休んだ。この後、寝所に帰り入った。生を受けて以後、この程のことは覚悟していなかった。今年は天変怪異、地震がまた連々と続き、今已にこのような有様で、最も恐れ畏れるべきことである。
二十七日己未 中宮大夫が消息を送ってきた。維範朝臣、家氏朝臣《割書：父子》の地震の事についての奏案の草を注して送ってきた。その後左に注す。

謹んで天文録を按ずるに云う 春秋 日に地が動揺するのは臣下が上を謀るものである。京房の妖占に曰く、地が秋に動いて音があるのは兵が起こるものである。また曰く、地が動くのは朝廷に乱臣があるものである。天地瑞祥志に云う、漢の武帝後元元年七月に地震があり、明年四月に帝が崩御した。内経に云う、七月は

July 26th, Tsuchinoe-uma: Tonight at the hour of the Ox there was a great earthquake. I was startled awake from sleep, and the shaking was beyond normal. Greatly alarmed, I ran out and stood in the garden. After this, many of those who had been in their sleeping quarters suffered damage, and repairs were made yesterday. The thatched gate tilted westward, and nail ends and such came apart and separated. The carriage quarters tilted eastward, but the main hall was fairly well off, and after shaking for a long time it gradually ceased. After this, I returned to my sleeping quarters. Since receiving life, I had never anticipated such an event. This year there have been heavenly portents and strange phenomena, earthquakes occurring one after another, and now things have reached such a state - truly something to be most feared and dreaded.
27th, Tsuchinoto-hitsuji: The Middle Palace Master sent a message. He sent notes on a draft memorial about the earthquake matter by Court Noble Inori and Court Noble Ieji 《marginal note: father and son》. Afterwards, noted to the left:
