八日丙申今日時々猶地震但少而止凡今日
之地震者尤𠮷也必角房女虚井觜計畢此九
宿帝釈動也天下安穏富饒風雨須時節百穀
成就天子大臣受福百姓有嘉大𠮷也云々今
日動者当房猶但若是為昨日之余気者難称

○和長卿記 明応三年五月七日午の刻頃に大地震があり、これを勘察してみると《弘斐大論》、今日は氐宿である。その論によると、張・氐・室・壁すなわち婁・胄の二十六宿の日に地震があれば、山が崩れ、これは火神が動くことである。両江河が枯渇することはなく、年は宜しくないが、天子・大臣が災いを受けるということである。夜に及んでも時々なお震動し、最も恐れるべきことである。陰陽の勘文を尋ね記すべきである。
八日丙申 今日も時々なお地震があるが、少なくて止む。およそ今日の地震は最も吉である。必ず角・房・女・虚・井・觜・参・畢、この九宿は帝釈が動くのである。天下安穏にして豊かになり、風雨は時節に適い、百穀が成就し、天子・大臣は福を受け、百姓には嘉があり、大吉であるということである。今日動いたのは房宿に当たる。しかし、もしこれが昨日の余気によるものであれば、吉と称するのは難しいだろうか。さらに今日の〔本文のまま〕ものとしては最も吉である。宿懼道の勘文を

○ Wachō-kyō-ki: Meiō 3rd year, 5th month, 7th day, around the hour of the horse, there was a great earthquake. Upon examination {{Kōhi Dairon}}, today is the Tei constellation day. According to that theory, on days of the twenty-six constellations Zhang, Di, Shi, Bi, namely Lou and Zhou, if there is an earthquake, mountains collapse, and this is the fire god moving. The great rivers will not dry up, the year will not be favorable, and the emperor and ministers will suffer calamity, it is said.
