○皇年代記 首書 寛文三年十二月六日戊の刻、地震があり、所々の築地等が顛倒した。
宝永四年
○宝永四年記 十月四日未の刻、大地震があり、その後少し動いた。地震により大坂は大破損し、大塩で三万余人が死んだ。前代未聞のことである。諸国で地震があり、紀州・土佐等は大破し、多くの人が死んだということである。
寛延四年 宝暦元年と改元
○皇年代記首書 寛延四年二月二十九日未の刻頃、大地震があり、京中の所々が損壊した。

私が見聞きした分を集録したが、脱漏した分は追って書き加えるべきである。殿下に勘進申し上げる者は、延暦遷都以来これを注したものである。

Hōei 4th year
○ Hōei 4th year record: 10th month, 4th day, at the hour of the sheep, there was a great earthquake, after which it shook slightly. Due to the earthquake, Osaka suffered great damage, and over thirty thousand people died at Ōshio. This was unprecedented. There were earthquakes in various provinces, and Kishū, Tosa, and other places suffered great destruction with many deaths.
Kan'en 4th year - changed to Hōreki 1st year
○ Kōnendai-ki opening passage: Kan'en 4th year, 2nd month, 29th day, around the hour of the sheep, there was a great earthquake, and various places in Kyoto were damaged.
