現代語訳
一、諸々の奉加（寄付）は一切加わってはならず、また仏事等も軽く執り行うべきこと
右の件は以前から仰せ出された趣旨であるが、今度
公儀（幕府）へ御簡略について仰せ上げられたことにより、御家中においても尚一層
諸事を軽く仕るべきことである。自然と違背する者を抱えている者は
仰せ出される品もあるであろうから、堅く相守るべきものである

一、十月 切支丹類族である柏屋喜兵衛の娘が病死したため、切支丹
御奉行中へ御達しがあった
一、十一月三日
長吉様の御実母昌寿院殿が死去された
一、同月七日 初雪のため御機嫌を御伺いするために御城へ御使者として
御留守居の加賀藤左衛門成興が差し出された
一、十二月十日 上使大嶋雲四郎殿を以て御鷹の鶴を
御拝領された。右の御礼のため御登城され、それから御老中を御廻勤された
一、同月十一日 重陽の御祝儀御献上に付いての御内書が
御城において御渡しされ、御家来の拝領物等は例の通りであった

One: All kinds of offerings (hōka) must not be participated in, and Buddhist ceremonies should be conducted simply.
The above matters have been proclaimed from long ago, but this time,
having reported to the public authorities (the shogunate) about simplification, within the domain as well,
all matters should be conducted even more simply. Should anyone naturally harbor those who violate these rules,
there will likely be proclamations regarding such matters, so these rules must be strictly observed.

Chōkitsu-sama's birth mother, Shōjuin-dono, passed away.
One: Same month, 7th day - Due to the first snow, Kaga Tōzaemon Narioki, the keeper of the Edo residence, was sent as a messenger to the castle to inquire after [the lord's] well-being.
One: December 10th - Through the envoy Ōshima Unshirō-dono, a crane from falconry was received as a gift. In gratitude for this, [the lord] went to the castle and then made courtesy visits to the senior councilors.
One: Same month, 11th day - An official letter regarding the presentation of Chōyō festival congratulations was delivered at the castle, and the retainers' gifts received were as usual.
