[This matter] should be ordered to town magistrates and district magistrates by monthly duty senior retainer Honda Sahyōe (note: Naoshige).
One: March 10th - From private funds, five sets of three-piece items and five sets of two-piece items (note: commissioned from carver Watō and completed) were presented (note: with prior inquiry). These were submitted to Senior Councilor Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami (note: Masanao) through messenger and deputy castellan Murakami Sandayū (note: Masamine). Regarding these presented items, consultation was made with Chamberlain Makino Bingo-no-kami (note: Narisada), and a written notice came from Sagami-no-kami stating that the presentation had been completed.
One: April 14th - Through imperial envoy Senior Councilor Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami (note: Masanao), permission to return to the domain was granted, and as usual, white silver and lined silk garments were received as gifts.
When Sagami-no-kami visited:
Chōkitsu-sama accompanied him and went out to welcome him to just outside the front gate's threshold area.
(Note: Other aspects of receiving the imperial envoy followed precedent.) After Sagami-no-kami's departure, courtesy visits were made to the Senior Councilors and Chamberlains as thanks.
One: Same month, 15th day (note: 6:30) - Made castle visit to express gratitude for the leave permission, received a horse as usual as a gift, and upon departure made courtesy visits to Chamberlains and Junior Councilors as thanks.
