一 同月廿二日御用番戸田山城守《割書：忠｜昌》殿ゟ御呼出御使者堀
金七《割書：直｜成》罷出候処《割書：御留守居原｜平左衛門同道》御返書用人を以被相渡之
但山城守殿御渡可被成之処御用多に付取次を以被相渡段用人

一 十月二十日、月次の御機嫌伺いの御使者堀金七直成が昨日十九日に
江戸に着き、今日御用番戸田山城守忠昌殿へ参上し（御留守居松原
善左衛門同道）、御書を差し出した
ただし金七は去る九日に御国表を出立した
一 同月二十一日、右同様の御使者堀金七直成が御城へ参上し（御留守居松原
善左衛門同道）、御献上の御肴（干鱚）一箱を納めた
一 同月二十二日、御用番戸田山城守忠昌殿から御呼び出しがあり、御使者堀
金七直成が参上したところ（御留守居原平左衛門同道）、御返書を用人を通じて渡された
ただし山城守殿が直接お渡しになるはずであったが、御用多忙につき取次を通じて渡された旨を用人が
申し聞かせた
一 同月二十五日、御鷹狩のため三国へ御出立された
ただし御帰殿の日は不詳
一 十一月十八日、御鷹狩のため吉江へ御出立された（十九日に御帰殿）
一 同月二十五日、重陽の御祝儀御献上につきての御内書が
御城においてお渡しされ、御家来への拝領物等も例の通り
一 十二月十八日、歳暮の御祝儀のため御使者を通じて例の通り小袖を
献上し、白銀を差し上げた
一 同日、大和守直矩様の御次男源之助宣富様が越後守光長様の御養子に

One: On the 20th day of the 10th month, messenger Hori Kinshichi Narishige for the monthly inquiry about His Lordship's well-being arrived in Edo yesterday, the 19th, and today presented himself to the duty officer Toda Yamashiro-no-kami Tadamasa-dono (accompanied by caretaker Matsubara Zenzaemon), submitting the official letter.
However, Kinshichi departed from the domain on the 9th of last month.
One: On the 21st day of the same month, the same messenger Hori Kinshichi Narishige presented himself at the castle (accompanied by caretaker Matsubara Zenzaemon) and presented one box of offering fish (dried whiting).
One: On the 22nd day of the same month, messenger Hori Kinshichi Narishige was summoned by the duty officer Toda Yamashiro-no-kami Tadamasa-dono and when he presented himself (accompanied by caretaker Hara Heizaemon), the reply letter was delivered through a retainer.
However, although Yamashiro-no-kami-dono was supposed to deliver it personally, the retainer explained that due to his many duties, it was delivered through an intermediary.
One: On the 25th day of the same month, His Lordship departed for Mikuni for falconry.
However, the date of return to the residence is unknown.
One: On the 18th day of the 11th month, His Lordship departed for Yoshie for falconry (returned to the residence on the 19th).
One: On the 25th day of the same month, an official letter regarding the Chōyō festival congratulatory offerings was delivered at the castle, with gifts for retainers distributed as customary.
One: On the 18th day of the 12th month, for year-end congratulations, a kosode was presented through a messenger as customary, and white silver was offered.
One: On the same day, Gennnosuke Nobutomi-sama, the second son of Yamato-no-kami Naonori-sama, became the adopted son of Echigo-no-kami Mitsunaga-sama.
