奉差上済口一札之事
宮木村源太郎姉だい儀去る拾弐ヶ年
以前所左衛門女房ニ縁付参り同年夫婦
連ニ而江戸稼ニ罷出六ケ年之間致旅稼
其後国許江致帰村睦敷農業倶々
出精仕罷在候處当三月廿七日夕方所左衛門
宅江粂次郎参り合候ゟ事起り及離縁
候処だい儀心服ニ不相叶義有之候ニ付
無拠 御上様江御願ニ罷出申候所双方
御呼出ニ相成当時御吟味中之所格別之

宮木村の源太郎の姉である「だい」について、今から12年前に所左衛門の妻として嫁ぎ、同年夫婦揃って江戸へ出稼ぎに出かけ、6年間旅先で働きました。その後故郷に帰村し、仲睦まじく農業に共々精を出して暮らしておりましたところ、今年3月27日の夕方、所左衛門の家に粂次郎が来訪したことから事件が起こり、離縁に至りました。
しかし「だい」について心から納得のいかない事情がございましたので、やむを得ずお上様にお願いに参りましたところ、双方がお呼び出しを受け、現在ご吟味中のところ、格別のご慈悲を以て、この度池上吉兵衛、小林豊七、宮木村の邦兵衛吉兵衛、辰野村の嘉平治が仲裁人として仰せ付けられました。
そこで訴答の申し分を詳しく承りましたところ、「だい」の申し分として、理解し難い難題を申し掛けられ、縁付いた際に持参した荷物のうち数品を留め置かれ、大変迷惑をしておりますので、「だい」の弟である源太郎が村役場へ願い出ました。また江戸での出稼ぎで貯めておいた金子83両について

A Document Respectfully Submitted Regarding a Settlement Agreement
Concerning Dai, the elder sister of Gentaro from Miyaki Village: twelve years ago, she married Sozaemon as his wife, and in the same year the couple went together to Edo to work, where they labored for six years. Afterwards, they returned to their home village and lived harmoniously while working diligently together in agriculture.
However, on the evening of March 27th of this year, when Kumejiro came to visit Sozaemon's house, an incident arose that led to divorce. Since there were circumstances regarding Dai that were not acceptable to her conscience, she had no choice but to petition the authorities. Both parties were summoned, and while the matter was under official investigation, through special compassion, Ikegami Kichibei, Kobayashi Toyoshichi, Kunihei Kichibei of Miyaki Village, and Kahei of Tatsuno Village were appointed as mediators.
Upon carefully hearing the statements and responses from both sides, regarding Dai's claims: unreasonable demands that were difficult to understand were imposed upon her, and several items from the belongings she brought when she married were retained, causing her great distress.
