五体髪毛の先まても。譲り受たる
身なれは。慎て養破らさる様にと。

○扨忠孝の二ツは愚筆に及はざれとも先孝の
一端を論ぜん孝の本身にあり身不全は孝不成
身を全しても独（ひとり）にてはあやふし兔（と）角（かく）夫婦の
道不全は事不足事不足は孝不成誠に中庸にも
君子の道は端を夫婦になすといふ兔角むつまし
くありたきものは夫婦なり女今川にも夫（おつと）は如＿レ 天
といふされば女は如＿レ 地ものか経に曰天地絪縕而万物化
淳【醇とあるところ】す男女媾精而万物化生すといふ第一に子宝（こだから）と
いふ宝を産（う）み養ひそだつる者なれは随分和順

の恵みを受けて生まれた父母より、五倫五体、髪の毛の先まで譲り受けた身であるから、慎んで養生を怠らないようにと思い、養生に関する多くの書物を見て、あちこちから今日役に立つ部分を仮名で抜き書きして記す。

さて忠孝の二つについては、私の拙い筆では及ばないが、まず孝の一端を論じよう。孝の根本は身にある。身が不全であれば孝は成り立たない。身を全うしても一人だけでは危うい。とにかく夫婦の道が不全であれば事が不足し、事が不足すれば孝は成り立たない。誠に『中庸』にも「君子の道は夫婦に端を発する」というように、とにかく睦まじくありたいものは夫婦である。『女今川』にも「夫は天の如し」という。それならば女は地の如きものか。経書に曰く「天地絪縕して万物化醇し、男女媾精して万物化生す」という。第一に子宝という宝を産み養い育てる者であるから、随分と和順で

Now, regarding the two virtues of loyalty and filial piety, though they are beyond my humble pen, let me first discuss one aspect of filial piety. The foundation of filial piety lies in one's body. If the body is incomplete, filial piety cannot be achieved. Even if one maintains the body, it is precarious to do so alone. In any case, if the way of husband and wife is incomplete, affairs will be insufficient, and if affairs are insufficient, filial piety cannot be achieved. Truly, as the Doctrine of the Mean states, "The way of the gentleman begins with husband and wife." In any case, those who should be harmonious are husband and wife. The Onna Imagawa also says "The husband is like heaven." If so, then woman must be like earth. The classics say, "Heaven and earth unite in harmony and all things are transformed and refined; man and woman unite in essence and all things are generated and born."
