どうしたらよいか途方に暮れていたところ、田安から御輿
その他の用意をしてお迎えに参りましたので、同所へお越し
になる方がよろしいと申し合わせ、男女の御供を差し立て、
御不都合のないようにして高砂御門より
御出輿され、益々御機嫌よく
お立ち退きになられ、恐悦に存じます。御跡では火勢が
いよいよ延び張り、両方の
御殿や御蔵、諸御門まで夜明けまでにすべて
御焼失となり、誠に恐怖で言葉を失う有様でした。
まだ鎮火しない内に、そちらの御内外へ早速
お知らせする方がよろしいと、含み書きを認める
ことも出来かねましたが、伝之助が参りましたなら
詳細な見聞きした前のことで、含み書きに及ばない
と申し合わせました。
御前様へお伺いし、暁前頃から出立して参り
ました。その後同六日晩から井上善兵衛へ
御報告の件、その他御内外へこれもまた早急
にして含みおかせ、宿許へ無事の知らせの一筆を
差し越したく存じますが、色々とご多事で、特に
筆紙墨まで焼失に及び、ようやくそれらの品を
調達いたしましたので、ひとまず現地見聞きの次第を
二三行ずつ認め、倅への書状を同十日に
足軽早便に託して差し越し置きました。御近親方へ

We were at a complete loss as to what to do when palanquins
and other preparations arrived from Tayasu to escort us, so we agreed that it would be best to go
to that location. We arranged male and female attendants
to ensure there would be no inconvenience, and from Takasago Gate,
the lord departed by palanquin in increasingly good spirits
for the evacuation, which filled us with great relief. After his departure, the fire
continued to spread extensively, and both
palace buildings, storehouses, and all gates were completely
destroyed by fire before dawn,
truly a terrifying sight that left us speechless.
While the fire had not yet been extinguished, we thought it best to promptly
notify your inner and outer circles, but we were unable
to prepare a detailed written report. However, when Dennosuke arrives,
he will have detailed firsthand knowledge of the previous events, so we agreed that

After paying respects to His Lordship, I departed before dawn
