現代語訳
秀郷は何となく将門を退治したものの、浅草観音の利生なりと、かの野牛宝剣を元延に繋ぎ、馬に絵を描かせ、絵馬を奉納する。
また将門の霊を神田明神という。そのころ神田に夜な夜な七曜の星の光を放ったのは、この将門の魂である。
二冊物に趣味よくこじつけて、めでたしめでたし。

英語訳
Although Hidesato somehow defeated Masakado, believing it was due to the divine protection of Kannon of Asakusa, he tied the wild ox treasure sword to Motonobu, had him paint a picture on a horse, and dedicated a votive tablet.
Also, Masakado's spirit is called Kanda Myojin. The light of the seven luminaries (planets and stars) that shone night after night in Kanda at that time was the soul of this Masakado.
Cleverly connecting this into a two-volume work, all ends well.
