一天明五巳年七月年来に不至候へとも

現代語訳

一 天明五年巳年七月、年齢に達していないけれども、お目見えを仰せ付けられる旨を仰せ出され、同年八月に初めてのお目見えを仰せ付けられた事

一 寛政四年子年二月、家督として御知行千石を相違なく下し置かれ、御側の列に仰せ付けられ、御側御番・御名代・月番等の勤めを仰せ付けられる旨を仰せ出された事

一 同六年寅年二月、慣れさせるために御奏者番の勤めを仰せ付けられ、当春勤番として差し上げられ、御用の合間には御使も相勤め見習うように仰せ付けられ、同三月江戸表へ上り、同十月に下った事

一 同十一年未年正月、御供番頭を仰せ付けられた事

1. In the 7th month of Tenmei 5, year of the Snake (1785), although he had not yet reached the appropriate age, he was granted an audience with the lord, and in the 8th month of the same year, his first formal audience was granted.

In the 2nd month of Kansei 4, year of the Rat (1792), he inherited the family headship with a fief of 1,000 koku confirmed without change, was appointed to the ranks of御側 (close attendants), and was assigned duties including 御側御番 (personal guard), 御名代 (representative), and monthly rotation duties.

1. In the 2nd month of Kansei 6, year of the Tiger (1794), he was appointed to serve as 御奏者番 (ceremonial announcer) for training purposes. This spring he was sent up as duty officer, and was ordered to also serve as messenger and observe during spare time from official duties. In the 3rd month of the same year, he went up to Edo, returning in the 10th month.

1. In the 1st month of Kansei 11, year of the Sheep (1799), he was appointed as 御供番頭 (head of the lord's escort).
