但し御小性を仰せ付けられ候以来、御上下の

英語訳
However, since being appointed as gokoshō (page), he has been
appointed to accompany [the lord] every time for formal outings.
One: Same 5th year, year of the Sheep (Shōtoku 5, 1715), 7th month - [He] was
appointed as confidential chief retainer.
One: Kyōhō 1, year of the Monkey (1716), 7th month - This winter,
regarding the Shogun's investiture and the invitation from the Senior Councilors, for official
business, he and Harada Matasuke were ordered to coordinate on horseback
and conduct all affairs without delay.
One: Same year, 10th month - When he went up to Edo
for guard duty, having served the invitation-related duties, he was granted
a complete set of formal dress with [the lord's] crest and three pieces of silver before [the lord], and
went up to Edo.
One: Same 2nd year, year of the Rooster (Kyōhō 2, 1717), 5th month - When [the lord] returned to the domain, he was
appointed as temporary chief retainer for the journey and served as attendant going down.
One: Same year, 11th month - Having served faithfully
before [the lord], he was appointed to the ranks of御側 (personal attendants).
One: Same 3rd year, year of the Dog (Kyōhō 3, 1718), 4th month - When [the lord] went to Edo for
sankin-kōtai duty, he was appointed as temporary chief retainer for the journey, served as attendant going up,
and immediately performed guard duty before returning.
