御法度御請書
一惣而御法度之儀兼々被 仰出候通常々
奉得其意候猶亦今度為読聞町内
大小之町人奉得其意候事
一宗門之儀当春御改以後疑敷宗門之者
無之哉五人組互ニ取調被 仰則丁代組頭
立会相改申候処春中御改之通不候写
成者無御座候
右之通町限相改申候処相違無御座候
為後日御請書奉差上候所仍如件

御法度御請書
一、総じて御法度の件について、兼ねてから仰せ出されている通り、常々その意味を理解しております。なお、今度は町内の大小の町人に読み聞かせるため、その意味を理解させました。
一、宗門の件について、当春の御改め以後、疑わしい宗門の者がいないか、五人組で互いに取り調べるよう仰せつけられ、町代・組頭立ち会いのもと改めて調査いたしましたところ、春中の御改めの通りで、相違のある者はおりませんでした。
右の通り町限りで改めて調査いたしましたところ、相違はございません。後日のために御請書を差し上げます。よって件の如し。

Written Pledge Regarding Prohibitions
1. Regarding all prohibitions in general, we have always understood their meaning as has been proclaimed from time to time. Furthermore, this time we have made sure that all townspeople, both great and small, within the town understand their meaning by having them read aloud.
1. Regarding religious sects, after this spring's inspection, we were ordered to investigate whether there were any persons of suspicious religious sects, with the five-household groups mutually investigating each other. The town representative and group heads conducted an inspection together, and we found that there were no discrepancies from the spring inspection, and no suspicious persons were present.
As stated above, we have conducted an inspection limited to our town and found no discrepancies. We hereby submit this written pledge for future reference. Therefore, as stated.
