右の通りの者がいる場合はその場で留め置き、御領は御代官、私領は領主地頭へ申し出て、それより江戸の石川主水正方へ申し出ること。もし見聞きした場合はその段も申し出ること。もちろん家来又は近村等を入念に吟味を遂げること。隠し置いて脇から相知れた場合は曲事となる。

If such a person is found, detain him on the spot. In government territory, report to the deputy official (daikan), in private domains, report to the domain lord or local administrator, and from there report to Ishikawa Monto-no-kami's office in Edo. If you hear any information about him, report that as well. Of course, retainers and nearby villages should conduct careful investigations. If someone conceals information and it becomes known from other sources, it will be considered a criminal offense.
