今日、色々とご懇意のお手紙をお送りいただき、ご満悦にお思いになられております。お礼を申し上げるべき旨、その意を得ております。仰せ付けられましたお手紙の趣旨は、やむを得ないご事情でございます。この上は越前様（昌親公）のお考えをお立てになられればと、憚り多くございますが、念願ばかりに存じ奉ります。何事も伺い奉って貴意を得たく存じますので、早々に愚報を申し上げます。以上

Today, various kind letters were sent, and [his lordship] is very pleased. I understand the intent that thanks should be conveyed. The content of the letter you instructed is an unavoidable matter. Beyond this, though it is presumptuous, I humbly wish that Echizen-sama (Lord Masachika) would establish his intention. I will inquire about everything to gain your esteemed opinion, so I report this hastily. Above.
