一、四月（日付詳細不明）去年国中が凶作であったため、国民救済のため、勝山御領の年貢米を蔵に納めることを見合わせるよう願い出た趣旨を、左記の通り御家老狛木工允貞澄、稲葉采女治房から渡辺大隅守綱貞殿へ申し達した。
去る寅年、国中が予想外の凶作となったため、在郷・町場まで米や雑穀を調べ、当年作の麦も考慮して国中の蓄積を見たところ、夏中から秋まで持続できない状況である。これにより米価が高騰し、下々の者が困窮しているため、国中の価格を統一して京升四斗五升俵にして銀二十五匁六分とし、蔵米を出して各所で小売りさせているが、米不足のため継続できない。もっとも他国米も手配しようとしたが、入手できない。何とか当年の収穫時期まで続くようにと申し付けている。このような状況であるから、餓死する者も数多くいるであろうと思われるため、勝山の寅年の年貢米を蔵に納めることを見合わせたく、御相談いただきたく

1. In the 4th month (date unspecified), due to crop failure throughout the domain last year, a request was made to suspend the storage of tax rice from Katsuyama territory for the relief of the people. The following petition was conveyed by Senior Retainers Koma Mokuzaemon Teisumi and Inaba Uneme Harufusa to Lord Watanabe Osumi-no-kami Tsunasada:
Last year (Year of the Tiger), the domain experienced an unexpected crop failure. After examining rice and miscellaneous grains throughout the countryside and towns, and considering this year's barley crop as well as the domain's accumulated stores, we find that supplies cannot be sustained through summer into autumn. Consequently, rice prices have risen sharply, causing hardship for the common people. Therefore, we have standardized prices throughout the domain at 25 monme and 6 bu of silver per 4 to 5 shō bag (Kyō measure), releasing stored rice for retail sale in various locations. However, due to rice shortages, this cannot be continued. We have attempted to procure rice from other domains but without success. We have ordered that somehow supplies must last until the current year's harvest time. Given these circumstances, we expect there will be many who will starve to death. Therefore, we wish to suspend the storage of tax rice from Katsuyama for the Tiger year and request your consultation on this matter.
