1st, 6th month 9th day: The construction of the new residence (built within the Gesha Gate of the Third Bailey, henceforth called the lord's quarters) was completed (the Yoshie residence was also relocated and expanded). The lord moved from the main bailey. To celebrate this occasion, in the formal reception room, starting with Honda Magotarō (Nagazane) and the senior retainers, along with Honda Minbu (Michishige), Sakai Genba (Mototomo), Ashida Zusho (Yoshikata), Minagawa Tazaemon (Katsushige), Nagami Awaji (Yoshimasa), Inagaki Yasuemon (Shigenao), and Itō Sōshu (Sōshu), a formal meal and audience were granted. In the adjoining room, the heads of the pages' quarters, ceremonial attendants, and other officials and pages were served meals. Among these, those specifically summoned to attend received sake cups and side dishes directly from the lord. The daimyo-class members, gate guards, guard commanders, military officers, and messengers on duty received long abalone as gifts from the monthly duty senior retainer in attendance.
1st, same month 10th day: Nagami Shima (Yoshihiro), the messenger for thanks regarding the return to the domain, had an audience and was granted gifts. As thanks, the messenger Sakakibara Rokurōzaemon was dispatched to Edo. Today he departed from Fukui.
1st, same month 15th day: To celebrate the first return to the domain, Lady Senkiku sent her messenger Minagawa Heiemon (Katsusato) with ten pieces of silver, two summer kimonos, and one unlined kimono as daily offerings. Lady Manhime sent her messenger Matsuda Hanbei with ten pieces of silver and an unlined kimono.
