公方様御機嫌為御伺江戸表《割書：江》御使者被指出之 今日
福井出立
但御使者江戸着不詳 十一月廿二日御返書御渡有之
一同月廿日於御泉水御屋敷具御聞被成
一同月廿九日御代替《割書：ニ》付今切御関所女通手形御家老ゟ
判鑑差出《割書：ニ》付中根平十郎《割書：正｜致》殿《割書：江》御書を以遣之
一十一月七日当夏御拝領之御鷹捉飼之雁鴨御使者秋田
六左衛門を以被献之 今日福井出立
但六左衛門江戸着不詳
一同月十三日重陽之御内書御頂戴且御家来拝領物
被仰付候 為御礼御使者被指出候処右御返書今日御渡有之
一同月十四日横川御関所女通手形半鑑御家老ゟ指出候《割書：ニ》付
御関所預り堀田備中守《割書：正｜俊》殿《割書：江》御書を以被遣之

現代語訳
孔雀経の読誦が行われた。
一、九月二十一日、吉江へ御鷹狩りのため出向かれた（同月二十三日に御帰殿）。
一、十月十一日
公方様の御機嫌伺いのため、江戸表へ御使者を派遣された。今日福井を出発した。
ただし御使者の江戸到着は不明。十一月二十二日に御返書の御渡しがあった。
一、同月二十日、御泉水の御屋敷において具足の御点検をなされた。
一、同月二十九日、御代替わりにつき、今切御関所の女性通行手形の判鑑を御家老から差し出すことになったため、中根平十郎正致殿へ御書をもって遣わした。
一、十一月七日、当夏に御拝領された御鷹で捕獲し飼育した雁鴨を、御使者秋田六左衛門をもって献上された。今日福井を出発した。
ただし六左衛門の江戸到着は不明。
一、同月十三日、重陽の御内書を御頂戴し、かつ御家来への拝領物を仰せ付けられたことへの御礼として御使者を派遣したところ、その御返書が今日御渡しされた。
一、同月十四日、横川御関所の女性通行手形の半鑑を御家老から指し出すことになったため、御関所預かりの堀田備中守正俊殿へ御書をもって遣わした。
一、同月二十一日
禁裏御所の御造営が御成就されたことにつき、御祝儀のため御使者笹治兵庫義次を

The recitation of the Peacock Sutra was performed.
1st, On the 21st day of the 9th month, [the lord] went to Yoshie for falconry (returned to the palace on the 23rd of the same month).
1st, On the 11th day of the 10th month
To inquire about the Shogun's well-being, a messenger was dispatched to Edo. [The messenger] departed from Fukui today.
However, the messenger's arrival in Edo is unknown. On the 22nd day of the 11th month, a reply letter was delivered.
1st, On the 20th day of the same month, an inspection of armor was conducted at the garden pavilion.
1st, On the 29th day of the same month, due to the change of shogun, regarding the submission of seal samples from the chief retainer for women's travel permits at Imagiri checkpoint, [a letter] was sent with a formal document to Lord Nakane Heijūrō Masayoshi.
1st, On the 7th day of the 11th month, wild geese and ducks caught and raised by the hawks bestowed this summer were presented through messenger Akita Rokuzaemon. [He] departed from Fukui today.
However, Rokuzaemon's arrival in Edo is unknown.
1st, On the 13th day of the same month, regarding the receipt of the Chrysanthemum Festival imperial letter and the bestowal of gifts upon retainers, a messenger was dispatched to express gratitude, and the reply letter was delivered today.
1st, On the 14th day of the same month, regarding the submission of seal samples from the chief retainer for women's travel permits at Yokogawa checkpoint, [a letter] was sent with a formal document to Lord Hotta Bitchū-no-kami Masatoshi, the checkpoint administrator.

Regarding the successful completion of the construction of the Imperial Palace, messenger Sasa Jibugo Yoshitsugu [was sent] for congratulations
