- 淳和天皇の御代、天長五年戊申（828年）に生まれる
- 仁明・文徳・清和・陽成・光孝天皇の御代において、その名を世に顕す
- 宇多天皇の御代、寛平元年己酉（889年）、六十歳にして薨去
- 貞観年中（859〜877年）に春日明神を勘定（勧請）し、吉田社を建立した。また、我が国における包丁（料理）の根源はこの人より始まるとされる

Descendant of Okuna, the fifth son of Fujiwara no Asomi Fusasaki, Middle Counselor San'in

- Born in the fifth year of Tenchō (828 CE), the year of Tsuchinoe-Saru, during the reign of Emperor Junna
- Rose to prominence during the reigns of Emperors Ninmyō, Montoku, Seiwa, Yōzei, and Kōkō
- Died at the age of sixty in the first year of Kanpyō (889 CE), the year of Tsuchinoto-Tori, during the reign of Emperor Uda
- During the Jōgan era (859–877 CE), enshrined the deity Kasuga Myōjin and founded the Yoshida Shrine. Furthermore, it is said that this person is the originator of the culinary arts (the art of the kitchen knife) in Japan
