の勤￣メ年久し。口（ク）-授（ジユ）秘決（ヒケツ）尽￣ク【「畫」は「盡」の誤記ヵ】伝￣へ てしば〳〵奇（キ）-功（コウ）を
著￣ハ せり。頃日（コノコロ）師-説によりて。病-家日-用の要を
集￣メ。間（マヽ）俗-習（シウ）の誤￣リ を弁（ベン）ず。凡￣ソ親に事（ツカヘ）疾（ヤマヒ）￣ニ侍（ハンベル）

『病家要論』跋文
伊藤玄恕君は、玄医先生の高弟であり、長年にわたって親しく薫陶を受けてきた。口伝による秘伝をことごとく伝授され、しばしば奇跡的な効果を現してきた。近頃、師の教えに基づいて、病家における日常の要点を集め、世間の誤った習慣を正している。すべて親に仕える者、病気に付き添う人は、この書を手にすれば、様々な効能・毒性・適応・禁忌について、いちいち他人に問うことを待たずして、きめ細やかな孝養ができるであろう。また自分自身の養生の道にも通じることになろう。自他の益はどれほどのものであろうか。一般の人のために文章を飾らず（平易に書いている）。読者は軽んじることなかれ。

Postscript to "Byōka Yōron" (Essential Treatise for Households with Illness)
Master Itō Gensho is a distinguished disciple of Master Gen'i, having received close personal instruction for many years. He has been fully transmitted all the secret oral teachings and has frequently demonstrated miraculous results. Recently, based on his master's teachings, he has compiled the essential points for daily use in households with illness, and corrects the errors of common folk practices. All those who serve their parents and attend to the sick, if they possess this volume, will be able to provide meticulous filial care regarding various efficacies, toxicities, indications, and contraindications without having to constantly ask others. They will also attain mastery of the way of personal health maintenance. How great will be the benefit to oneself and others! The text is written without literary ornamentation for the common people. Readers should not despise it for this reason.
