如（ごと）し色黄（いろき）に
して前足（まへあし）ふと
く一身（いつしん）の力（ちから）

行（ゆく）に一目（いちもく）は光（ひかり）を
放（はな）ち一目（いちもく）は物（もの）
を見る声雷（こゑらい）の
ごとくよく風（かぜ）

○The tiger has a form
like a cat but
is as large as an ox
Its color is yellow
with thick front legs, and all the strength
of its body is in its front legs. When it
walks at night, one eye emits
light while the other eye
sees objects. Its voice is like
thunder and it can well

roars once on a
mountain, all beasts are said to
cower in fear
